Karla V. Mardueño

I am a Latina mom, attorney, and the creator of WorldlyWOC.

After the excitement of becoming the first attorney in my family wore off, I found myself overwhelmed with a six-figure salary, a mountain of student debt, and no idea how to manage any of it.  And so my personal finance journey began.

I am now on a mission to share the life changing personal finance information I am learning with other women of color who are ready to become generational wealth builders.

How I am Paying Off $200,000 of Debt

After finding myself in over $200,000 worth of debt I knew that I had to take action.  I dove in headfirst into every financial resources I could get a hold of.  I came across the Financial Independence Retire Early (“FIRE”) movement and it changed my life.

But while the FIRE movement gave me the guidance I needed to tackle my debt and build financial freedom, it also came with immense pressure to save and count every cent.

I knew I had to pursue FIRE on my own terms and so WorldlyWOC was born.  Join me as I pursue my FAB FIRE journey where we’ll learn how to build wealth while living fabulously.
